Paperwork Update

The initial paperwork for this association will be submitted on Monday, 11/16. It will be rather exciting once it comes back, as that is when we will file for tax-exempt status. We are currently seeking a Secretary for our organization to help get this started. Duties would be simple at this point, mostly taking notes during meetings. Other duties may include keeping a list of members as well as anything else you can help with. If you are interested, let us know!

  1. Eventually I think it will be a good thing to develop a strategy to offer memberships to relevant businesses (i.e. motels, service stations, cafes, etc) on old US 99, and develop a strategy for local business and chamber of commerce to join the organization. I also notice that only CA is on the map. Will Oregon and Washington be a part of this proposed organization?

    1. Right now, the focus is just on California. Once we get things started here, Oregon and Washington may be added if the interest is there. I’m sure there are at least a few towns along the way that would be interested in an organization to help bring in more business. It will take a while to get started, but getting the word out there to various businesses will be fun. Hard work, but fun.
