US 99 is more than just a roadway. It is alive with history and adventure. The highway takes you from the high Cascade Mountains in the north to the sandy deserts in the south. US 99 is the jump-off point to so many of California’s great natural landmarks, such as Mount Shasta, Sutter Buttes, and Yosemite National Park. It is truly California’s Main Street.
